Specific Need

Through God, all things are possible. He has shown us his mercy and love and we strive to do the same for our community. 

Mission

Our Vision Statement: The United Methodist Church of Blue Rapids, with Jesus Christ as our example, will reach out to children, youth, and adults in the community to provide for their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. 

Our Mission Statement:  Make disciples of Jesus Christ by loving, worshipping, and serving.

Profile

The United Methodist Church of Blue Rapids has an excellent worship series covering multiple topics and different perspectives. We have scripture based worship on Sunday mornings and during Christmas and Easter we hold evening worship.

We host Community wide Youth Fellowship, Multi-Denominational Bible Study, Multi-Denominational Vacation Bible School, Women of Faith, provide Church services at the Blue Valley Nursing Home, and restarting our youth ministry program and activities.

Some of our community outreach activities include: hosting homecoming and 5th quarter meals and activities for Valley Heights students; Lego Fair; potato day lunch and supper; soup day lunch and supper; Women of Faith salad supper; First Responder recognition dinner and coming soon "Mothers of Marshall County" support group and a used book sale to benefit the Blue Rapids Library.

We provide back to school blessing bags and lunches for the teachers and staff; Christmas cheer plates; Easter sunrise breakfast; meals for funerals and families in need; food and workers for the church stand at the Marshall County fair; and water bottles to be distributed at the Marshall County Fair parade. 

We also serve the members of the community by contributing to: Community food pantry; Good Samaritan fund; City utility fund; Teacher fund; Christmas assistance for families; Big Brothers Big Sister program; and Schools that Care.

The United Methodist Church of  Blue Rapids is known as the Community Church. We have made it our mission to serve, demonstrating the love of Christ through our deeds.
